Description

This event has been cancelled in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Join us on March 26, for a special Canadian Film Forum event, acclaimed director and cinematographer Guy Maddin will present a collection of four of his recent short films. A Q&A-style discussion will follow the screening.

Frequently referred to as “the Canadian David Lynch,” Winnipeg-born filmmaker Guy Maddin’s surreal, dreamlike works are often cited for their striking visuals and obscure sensibilities. His first feature, Tales from the Gimli Hospital, appeared in 1988 and became a midnight-movie classic. In 1995, Maddin became the youngest winner of the Telluride Silver Medal for Lifetime Achievement. Together with Isabella Rossellini, he directed Send Me to the ‘Lectric Chair (2008). He has also made installation works and published several books. Guy’s entire filmography can be found here.

Registration for this FREE event is required. Link to RSVP will be shared soon.
