Description

Graduate students, advanced undergraduates, postdoctoral fellows, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to join this working group, where we will discuss queer and trans studies’ long preoccupation with negativity, including its potentialities, limitations, and impact on the field and how we come to understand queer and trans art, cinema, literature, politics, and thought.

Refreshments will be provided.

Organized by Professor Bliss Cua Lim (Cinema Studies), Kanika Lawton (PhD candidate, Cinema Studies, Sexual Diversity Studies), and Avneet Sharma (PhD student, Cinema Studies, Sexual Diversity Studies).
