Join us on April 25 to celebrate the World Premiere of a new documentary film, WIDOW CHAMPION! Kenyan filmmaker Zippy Kimundu and widows' rights activist Rodah Wafula Wekesa will be joined by Prof. Nakanyike Musisi and Prof. Kariuki Kirigia for an in-depth conversation around questions of land rights, grassroots activism, tradition, gender, sexuality, and conceptions of family in modern Africa. This dynamic panel will include a sneak peek of WIDOW CHAMPION and include a chance to win free tickets to the documentary’s world premiere at Toronto’s HotDocs festival (April 26, 2025 at 2:30pm).
