Biography : 

Isabel Hua is an MA student at the University of Toronto's Cinema Studies Institute. She obtained her BA at the University of Toronto, double majoring in Political Science and Cinema Studies and minoring in Philosophy. Her research interests lie in haptic visuality, embodied spectatorship, new media and digital technology, and the interactions between sensorial experiences and queer, gendered, and racialized identities. Beyond her studies, Isabel has worked as a film programmer, audiovisual technician, and editorial contributor. She also enjoys photography, painting, and music.
