Biography
Annika Mossanen-Delaney is a Cinema Studies alumni from the University of Toronto. Since her undergraduate degree, she has worked in film and commercial production and as a journalist for the Toronto International Film Festival. She was a member of the Cinema Studies Graduate Conference this year, presenting her work on Queer Futurity and Raving. With a background of work on experimental cinema, intimacy in cinema, and queer subculture, her current research focus is on the relationship between subcultural preservation and the distribution of minor cinema in microcinemas across increasingly gentrified urban settings.
