Cailin Ball

MA Student

Biography

Cailin is an MA student at the University of Toronto's Cinema Studies Institute. She obtained her BA in Cinema Studies at the University of Toronto. Her current research interests center on Hollywood and film history, with specific focus on the intersection of politics and industry during the HUAC trials and Hollywood blacklist. She is also passionate about representations of feminist issues and queerness, specifically through the lens of the abject. Cailin is a passionate amateur screenwriter and was president of the University of Toronto's Screenwriting at Victoria College club during the 2022-2023 school year.
