Saffron Maeve

Saffron Maeve is currently pursuing an MA at the Cinema Studies Institute at the University of Toronto, where she also received her BA. Her research primarily engages with somatic dread and pubescent horror in the films of Lucile Hadzihalilovic. Additionally, Saffron is a film programmer at Paradise Theatre, a moderator at the TIFF Bell Lightbox, and a critic for Film Comment, MUBI Notebook, Cinema Scope, Screen Slate, Le Cinéma Club, as well as a member of the Toronto Film Critics Association and GALECA, the Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics.
