Sam Reimer

PhD Student


Sam Reimer is a PhD student in Cinema Studies and a member of the Collaborative Graduate Program in Sexual Diversity Studies. Sam’s research focuses on depictions of homosociality and queerness in contemporary cinema and how the term “homoerotic” is mobilized to normalize queer desire. His research is also interested in the relationship between homosociality and hegemonic masculinities, contemporary British cinema, and the action and crime genres.
