Free Friday Films are tradition here at the University of Toronto. Our Cinema Studies Student Union has been putting together awesome bills for over two decades!
Malcolm X is a 1992 American epic biographical drama film about the African-American activist Malcolm X. Directed and co-written by Spike Lee, the film stars Denzel Washington in the title role, as well as Angela Bassett. The film dramatizes key events in Malcolm X's life.
The film will be introduced by Professor Elizabeth Legge, who will also lead a post-screening discussion about the film!
