Winnie Wang, who earned both an undergraduate degree and Master's degree in Cinema Studies at the University of Toronto, has won the 2023 Telefilm Canada Emerging Critic award for aspiring film reviewers. The award comes with a cash prize of $1000.00. Wang's work has appeared in Cinema Scope, Little White Lies and Documentary Magazine.
