Alumna Jing Jing Chang publishes book on Hong Kong cinema

Cinema Studies alumna, Jing Jing Chang recently published a new book, Screening Communities: Negotiating Narratives of Empire, Nation, and the Cold War in Hong Kong Cinema, that situates Hong Kong cinema within the city's colonial past. It is historical narrative on shaping a local community through film narrative. 

Dr. Chang, Associate Professor in the Department of English and Film Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University, will be speaking on her new book on Friday, January 24, 2020, 12:30 to 2:00 pm at the Richard Charles Lee Canada-Hong Kong Library on the 8th Floor of Robarts Library, 130 St George St. Light refreshments will be provided.
