HUGE congratulations to Prof. Brett Story on winning the inaugural Diane Weyermann Fellowship. This prestigious new fellowship, named in honour of Diane Weyermann, who ran the documentary program at Sundance, includes a very generous unrestricted grant as well as creative support from the Camden International Film Festival's headquarters at Points North Institute, in Camden, Maine. You can read more about the fellowship and the other impressive winners in Variety. Prof. Story won the award for her film in progress, "The Production of the World," an archival documentary on the great critic John Berger, the CIA's infiltration of the arts in the postwar years, and the ways images operate as a political battleground.
