Cinema Studies Institute welcomes Dr. Lauren McLeod Cramer

Dr. Lauren McLeod Cramer will be joining the faculty of the Cinema Studies Institute in 2019/20. Dr. Cramer will be coming from Pace University, where she has been an Assistant Professor of Film and Screen Studies since 2016. Prior to that, she earned her PhD in Communication and Moving Image Studies from Georgia State University. Dr. Cramer's research interests include hip-hop, African American popular culture, architectual theory, digital aesthetics, and blackness in visual culture.

Next year, Dr. Cramer is slated to teach CIN332Y1Y - Screening Race and two 400-Level Seminars: CIN450H1F - Framing Cultural Geographies, and CIN431H1S - In the Cut: Hip-Hop Cinema & Visual Culture.
