Following his Summer 2024 undergraduate course, CIN340H1S - The "Global" TV Serial, instructor and PhD candidate, M. Mert Örsler will participate in a forthcoming online panel, "Dizi: Turkish Television Series." The panel discussion will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10:00 Eastern.
Mert was invited by the Canadian Society for the Advancement of Turkish Studies to be a panelist alongside other scholars such as Dr. Necati Anaz (İstanbul University) Dr. Nâlân Erbil (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Dr. Oya Topçuoğlu (Northwestern University), with Dr. Arzu Öztürkmen (Boğaziçi University) as discussant. The Canadian Society for the Advancement of Turkish Studies is affiliated with and housed in the Department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations at the University of Toronto.
